A downloadable game for Windows

(NOTE: VERY EARLY in development, released only for review during a game jam. Continuing to build.)

I long for the days when an RTS was one of the top games out, and not a disappearing mix of okay. Back when the single player game was the main point of play. Back when you had a little more time to develop. Back when being good, didn't mean 3 meaningful clicks per SECOND.

In RTS 21 (Code Name), you focus on strategy. Play it like an ordinary RTS, where you micro manage every action of a unit, or between missions, train your squads with custom orders designed on top of MIT's Scratch programming visuals, to follow a wide variety of AI options. With this focus on Squads, you may be giving more orders to just create a squad, instead of units, such as 4 heavy tanks, 2 mini tanks, and a drone (for repairs) and give them field orders, like wait setting an ambush, guard while building turrets, etc... Or focus on start of game activities, like establish a base, defend a point or exploring.

In a second twist, the intention is to release AI and content updates every quarter, and you can see if your orders stand the test of time, or experience whole new life in your enemy's characteristics. The AI will introduce updates, in many cases, based on community game play. What are proving to be some of the best orders? Which ones are most challenging? Which are most fun?

The current download was released for what was completed during the initial game jam. I am continuing this. My goal is levels 1, 2 and the AI/Order designer tool to be fully playable/published by June 6th
